OKAMA – Cloud Marigold Chamomile Ointment
Okama is a cream ointment and contains a well-thought-out selection of herbal extracts that complement each other. The carrier herbs are calendula and chamomile, which are known to have a beneficial effect on the skin and are traditionally used against various skin problems. With its rich composition, it works extremely well on all phenomena on the skin, prevents skin problems, promotes its faster regeneration and intensively protects it.

OKAMA was a well-known and effective ointment already in 1936. At that time, it was prepared according to his own recipe by a well-known pharmacist from Gorenjska, M.Sc. Jože Oblak (1893 – 1963). He made it in his pharmacy and spread its reputation all over Slovenia. Today, it is made by his grandson according to an updated recipe of ingredients.
The ointment contains a well-thought-out and rich selection of natural extracts of organic herbs, which synergistically complement each other. The main active ingredients are extracts of marigold, chamomile, witch hazel, St. John’s wort and Icelandic lichen, as well as essential oils of lavender and immortelle. For better performance, the composition is additionally enriched with natural alpha-bisabolol, allantoin, azulene, carrot juice (a source of vitamin A) and natural vitamin E.
The ointment base is of completely natural origin, consisting of 80% fats and waxes and 20% bio aloe gel. The lipid part consists of coconut and palm extracts, jojoba, olive, rosehip and avocado oils, shea butter and beeswax.
Calendula and chamomile work synergistically with other plant extracts and active ingredients in the ointment. Of these, Iceland lichen and witch hazel are the most important. All plants are already known from traditional folk use. Extracts of calendula, which is a carrier herb in addition to chamomile, were already used by the ancient Greeks, Romans and other peoples.
The product is standardized on plant active ingredients from calendula and chamomile.
